Fourmile Loop

The fourmile loop (Fourmile Trail and Anderson Trail) is a wonderful backpacking trip in the Weminuche. Below are pictures from a recent excursion:

Fourmile Falls; located about 3 miles from trailhead. The hike to Fourmile falls is a beautiful hike and great for a day trip, if backpacking isn't your goal.

Upper fourmile falls - both are visible from the trail, before you reach fourmile falls. The hike to this spot gets very steep.

3 miles from the falls, and about 1800 feet in elevation, you arrive at Fourmile Lake. It's a gorgeous setting...and we were lucky to have great weather while at the lake.

A morning picture of the lake. The reflection was incredible.

The hike down Anderson Trail. The scenery was incredible - but after a little afternoon shower, we had to put the camera away. Just a reason to go back and hike that section again!

Happy trails!

Recent Wolf Creek Adventure

When Hollywood calls, we answer! Check out the behind the scenes video from a group of local skiers, snowboarders, a few snowmobiles - all volunteering their time to assist a movie studio with early "scouting" effort for an ideal movie location. Or, maybe it was just a great excuse to get up to Lobo Overlook to play?

The Big Photo Shoot

Last week, Barnhart Communications came to Pagosa Springs for a photo shoot with many of our local personalities - all for our new brand. This shot was taken on a natural shelf overlooking the Williams Creek Nordic Track. Norm Vance was quite a trooper - not only was he the subject of this shoot, he also drove mulitple loads of gear and people up and down the mountain.
